About New Construction Brick Cleaning
New Construction Brick Cleaning is the process of removing unwanted mortar splatter from brickwork.
New construction cleaning is an acid wash brick wash of surface’s that has mortar splatter on it. Mortar splatter is caused by excess mortar being smeared, dropped, smugged, etc onto the brick during the laying or fixing of the brick.
Although mortar splatter is very common on new construction sites, it is also common on older homes with new additions, filled windows, or after tuckpointing.
The mortar splatter removal process does require an acid-based detergent therefore proper prep work is required. Although the detergent for mortar splatter does not require the covering of windows, plants, and metallic items must be properly protected.
